InsurQuote Increases Market Expertise With Addition to Management Staff

OREM, Utah – January 14, 2003 – InsurQuote, Inc. today announced the hiring of Kelly Whaley as the Director of Product Development.  Kelly will be charged with managing the product definition and road map for the InSight suite of competitive analysis tools.  In addition, he will also be utilized in InsurQuote’s product implementation efforts.

“Kelly brings a wealth of insurance industry, ratemaking, and technology experience to InsurQuote,” said Keith E. Toney, president of InsurQuote, Inc.  “Kelly’s experience will enhance our software development process so that the complex solutions we deliver truly fit the working analysts within the carriers.  We are excited to have him join the team.”

Kelly was most recently a Senior Product Manager for Charter Insurance Company, a part of Unitrin Specialty Lines, in Dallas, TX.  Prior to that, Kelly was a Product Manager and Business Analyst for Atlanta Casualty Insurance Company in Atlanta, GA.  Kelly holds a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Georgia, a Masters in Information Technology degree from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, and an MBA from Georgia State University.

When asked how Kelly feels about InsurQuote, he replied, "What I’m most surprised by is the quality people that work here.  I expected a highly technical work group, but the people that work here are some of the hardest working, most pleasant individuals I’ve ever been around.  They really go over and above what the job description calls for, but are nice to be around as individuals.  I can’t say enough about them and the organization."

In addition to the hiring of Whaley, Denise Renfro was promoted to the Manager of Data Acquisition.  Denise will be charged with managing the acquisition of rate filings and maintaining relationships with InsurQuote’s research partners across the country.
